1. Have a hike, in Stone Park
There are many pretty great spots to visit hiking or camping in our very own State Stone Park. The type preserve is full of adventure, and of course, wild furry creatures that we all love. There are multiple campground sites and trails that any outdoors men wouldn’t mind to discover. Stone park even carries a beautiful place to grill out where you can picnic. Look at Turtle Pond and appreciate your entire day outside.
2. Catch a show
Our personal Sioux City Community theater and our Shot at night theater always has something up their sleeve. You are able to go catch a live show and see local talent in stage. From American Idiot, to Heather’s, to Shrek the musical, they’ve got it all at a reasonable price.
3. Grab a bite to enjoy at any of our local restaurants.
There exists a fun assortment of restaurants which are only in Sioux City or even in the nearby tri-state area. Go grab an effective cup of coffee at either Jitters (they already have the ideal donuts) or Stone Bru. Or, if you’re seeking to have lunch somewhere take a look at our new Blue Cafe. 4. Buy some fresh vegetables and fruit with the Farmers Market
Every Wednesday and Saturday morning the farmers market is set up next to the Tyson Events Center. Local farmers and growers go to sell us a selection of their delicious fresh produce. But fruits and vegetables aren’t the sole things you could buy. You can also get some bottles of local honey, bags of local coffee, and fun accessories made by the individuals of Sioux City. Try a cup of Rosie’s cold brew coffee. It really is literally to die for. oh, and if they’re there, The Birds as well as the Bees honey is super yummy.
5. Visit Bacon Creek
Bacon Creek has a variety of small parks, your dog park, and a trail that loops across the creek. It’s an entertaining spot to head out in the boat, fish, take a stroll, have got a small gathering, or even to take your pet out to socialize along with other dogs. 10. Head to Saturday in the Park
Every fourth of July weekend there exists a free music festival. Artists come to preform from the bandshell and there is a large amount of little kiosks waiting so that you can go and buy something cool. Every kiosk is rented out by local or traveling artists who definitely are show casing their very own hand made items. This year the Hard Rock is setting the stage with a bit of good music along with the people of Sioux city are bringing the excellent vibes and a few very good food.
